In Memory of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan

  Salute Thee Oh! Noble Son of the Soil And Vanguard of the Sea. Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan was a symbol of honesty,  integrity, hard work and dedication. We remember him for his ideals and principles on his 87th birth anniversary today. His love for his work was incomparable. He loved the blue seas, loved to serve in the huge Naval ships. He was the architect of the modern Bangladesh Navy.

    মরহুম রিয়ার এডমিরাল মাহাবুব আলী খান স্মরণে তাঁর কন্যা ডাক্তার জুবাইদা রহমান এর কবিতা।    আজও মনে পড়ে -   জুবাইদা রহমান আজও মনে পড়ে- তোমার স্নেহের পরশ, ‘বাবা’ বলে ডাকতে বড় ইচ্ছে করে। আজও মনে পড়ে- তোমার হাত ধরে স্কুলের ক্লাসে যাওয়া শান্ত, সুন্দর জীবন এলোমেলো করে দিল- কোন সে ঝড়ো হাওয়া। স্মৃতির পটে তোমার ছবি- আঁকলেই চোখ ভরে জলে, মনে হয় স্বপ্নগুলি- চাপা পড়ে আছে অথৈ জলে। দিন বয়ে যায়, মাস পেরোয়, বছর ঘুরে আসে, মনে হয় বাবা- এই বুঝি তুমি আসবে, অপেক্ষায় থাকি রুদ্ধশ্বাসে।     Pictures of some golden memories from his illustrious career     Rear Admiral Khan with HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh
