REAR ADMIRAL MA KHAN'S 86TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY TODAY
The eighty-sixth birth anniversary of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan falls today, November 3, 2020. The day will be observed with due solemnity and religious fervour. Floral wreaths will be placed in his Mazaar in Banani followed by Quran Khatam and Quran Khawani. Special munajat (prayer) will be offered in different mosques throughout the country in Dhaka, Sylhet and Bogura. Special prayers will also be held in Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Malaysia.
In Saudi Arabia, special prayers will be offered in Makkah and Medina. In the United Kingdom, it will be held in Brick Lane Mosque, London and Malaysia in Putra Mosque, Putrajaya.
The Mahbub Ali Khan Memorial Committee has arranged Quiraat competition, Islamic discussion and doa Mahfil at the Khanbari Darul Quran Hafezia Madrasah and Orphanage. Islamic discussion and doa mahfil will also be held at the Baitul Aman Masjid and Madrasah in Dhanmondi. In Sylhet, in his birthplace Birhaimpur, doa Mahfil will be held at the Birhaimpur Jam-e Masjid and Islamic discussion and doa Mahfil at the Kalabagan Latifia Madrasah.
