In Memory of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan

আজ ৬ আগস্ট, ২০২২ রিয়ার অ্যাডমিরাল মাহবুব আলী খানের ৩৮তম শাহাদাতবার্ষিকী। আজ থেকে ৩৮ বছর আগে এই দিনটিতে তিনি জনমানবের কল্যাণে তাঁর জীবন উৎসর্গ করেন। সততা, নিষ্ঠা, কঠোর পরিশ্রম, দানশীলতা ও আত্মত্যাগে গড়া তাঁর অনবদ্য জীবনের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে এবং মরহুমের রূহের মাগফিরাত কামনায় দেশ ও বিদেশে বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। কর্মজীবনে নৌবাহিনী প্রধান এবং যোগাযোগ ও কৃষিমন্ত্রী থাকাকালীন সময়ে তাঁর অবদান ছিল অপরিসীম। মরহুমের মাজার প্রাঙ্গণে তাঁর রূহের মাগফিরাত কামনায় অনুষ্ঠিত হবে পবিত্র কোরআন খতম, কোরআনখানি ও বিশেষ মোনাজাত। তিনি চিরনিদ্রায় শায়িত আছেন তাঁর প্রিয় কর্মস্থল নৌ-সদর দফতরের পাশে। বাংলাদেশের নৌবাহিনীকে যুগোপযোগী করে গড়ে তোলায় তাঁর উদ্যোগ স্বর্ণাক্ষরে ইতিহাসের পাতায় লেখা থাকবে। প্রতি ওয়াক্ত নামাজের জন্য আজানের শব্দ পৌঁছে যায় তাঁর সমাধিস্থলে, সেই মসজিদের মিনার হতে যেটি তিনি স্থাপনে উদ্যোগ নিয়েছিলেন নৌবাহিনীর সদস্যদের জন্য। দিনটি উপলক্ষে রিয়ার অ্যাডমিরাল মাহবুব আলী খানের বাসভবন ‘মাহবুব ভবন’-এ কোরআন খতম, কোরআনখানি ও দোয়া মাহফিলের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। বেগম মাহবুব আলী খান সকল শুভানুধ্যায়ী ও শ...

Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan’s 38th Death Anniversary will be observed today, August 6, 2022. He breathed his last today dedicating his life for the service of the suffering humanity. Elaborate programs have been chalked out to mark the day with due solemnity and religious fervour both at home and abroad in recognition of his life of honesty, integrity, hard work, duty, public service, philanthropy and sacrifice. His dedication for his countrymen both while serving as the chief of Naval Staff and as a Minister was remarkable. Quran Khatam and Quran Khwani will be held at his Mazar together with placing of floral wreaths as a mark of respect to the personality who was the chief of Naval Staff and minister for communications and agriculture. His final resting place is just next to his beloved workplace at the Naval Headquarters and his contribution in modernizing the Bangladesh Navy is written in the pages of history.   বাবা দিবসে ডাক্তার জুবাইদা রহমান এর লেখা কবিতা তুমি নির্ভীক                      -  জুবাইদা রহমান তুমি নির্ভীক তুমি গণতন্ত্রের প্রতীক জনতার অধিকারের অতন্দ্র প্রহরী তুমি, অসাধারণ সাহসী মূর্তি। তুমি নেতা, তুমি কঠোর পরিশ্রমী, দিন কেটেছে তোমার সবার চিন্তায় বিরামহীন। তুমি সুর্যরশ্নি, চাঁদের আলোর মত, তাই আজ বহুদূরে থেকেও- আমরা তোমার আলোয় আলোকিত। তুমি বিদ্রোহী, তুমি আশার আলোয় আরোহী। তুমি বিজয়ী, তুমি মৃত্যুঞ্জয়ী, তুমিই স্বাধীনতা!

  Salute Thee Oh! Noble Son of the Soil And Vanguard of the Sea. Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan was a symbol of honesty,  integrity, hard work and dedication. We remember him for his ideals and principles on his 87th birth anniversary today. His love for his work was incomparable. He loved the blue seas, loved to serve in the huge Naval ships. He was the architect of the modern Bangladesh Navy.
